What numbers can be ported into?

  • +614 Mobile numbers
  • +612, +613, +617, +618 Local numbers
  • Virtual Phone numbers (JustCall, etc)

What are the requirements for porting numbers?

  • The number/s to be ported
  • Accomplished CAAA form (please download below)
  • Latest invoice from your carrier
  • Mobile Number Porting Sheet (for mobile numbers – please download below)
  • Date of birth (for prepaid mobile numbers)
  • For local numbers, let us know if there any complex services attached to the number

Please make sure that the information in your invoice matches the information you will supply in your CAAA form

What is the process?

  • Submit the required documents listed above
  • The J-Digital GHL Team will submit the porting request on your behalf
  • The request is sent to Twilio, GHL’s phone number provider
  • Wait for confirmation from the team regarding the scheduled port date
  • Once porting is complete, the team will test the number to ensure calls are connecting properly
  • We’ll also assist with call routing and forwarding setup

How long does porting take?

Timelines vary depending on number type and complexity and can take 24 hours up to 6 weeks from the scheduled port date.

  • Local number takes 4-6 weeks
  • Mobile number takes 1 day to 1 week
  • Virtual number takes 1 day to 1 week
  • Propagation after porting: A few hours up to 24 hours
